ITXPRESS provides FREE training and support services to young adults ages 17-29 with a desire to land jobs like these in Information Technology:

Use the FORM Choose your occupation, credential and Information Session Date. All information sessions are usually held on (but not limited to) Wednesdays at the New Haven American Job Center, 560 Ella T. Grasso Blvd., New Haven


  • Be 17 – 29 years old
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Be a Connecticut Resident
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Be out of school (cannot be currently enrolled in high school or college)
  • Be unemployed or underemployed (working less than full-time or outside the IT field)
  • Be committed to fully participate in training program (3 to 6 months)
  • Be able to stay in contact with Career Navigator on a weekly basis.

All services are provide free of charge thanks to a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor’s TechHire initiative.

Depending on your level of education, experience, and other factors, your individual pathway to jobs in IT may include:

  • Accelerated classroom-based training
  • Remedial training
  • Paid Internship
  • Registered Apprenticeship
  • Job search assistance with employer incentives, including On-the-Job training.
  • Transportation assistance available.
