Seeking Comments on Proposed Income Guideline Change:
Open for Comment: Aug. 29 – Sept. 14, 2017 to email@example.com
Workforce Alliance intends to change its income guidelines for determining eligibility for individuals to receive employment and training services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The purpose of this change is to accommodate a larger pool of eligible individuals seeking employment and training services in South Central CT.**
New federal regulations no longer exclude items such as child support and unemployment insurance when determining eligibility for adults. Increasing the family income eligibility level will give more jobseekers access to training services provided through Workforce Alliance and the American Jobs Centers in South Central CT. Current and proposed incomes by family size represent the maximum that can be earned by all members of a household in order for an individual to enroll in employment and training services. To determine family size, consult the most recent tax return.
