On-the-Job Training in Healthcare:
If you are a certified dislocated workers or long-term unemployed (6+ months) employers can receive salary reimbursements of up to 75% while providing occupational skills training on the job in the STEM fields and health care.
All STEM occupations are eligible, including those in Information Technology (IT), Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering and health care.
Assistance is available for dislocated worker certification, job matching and training plan development.

You could be eligible for FREE short-term job-related training in the Healthcare field through the Health Careers Advancement Project (HCAP). Training takes place at Gateway Community College, New Haven, Middlesex Community College, Middletown, Yale New Haven Hospital, Harborview School of Phlebotomy, LLC., Code One Training Solutions, City of Milford Employment and Training, or CT Training & Consulting Institute.
Employers may receive grants to provide on-the-job training when hiring participants.

Learn which healthcare occupations are in demand, get average wage information, and find out what type of education or training is needed for each occupation. Open to the public with sessions in (click on location for schedule) New Haven, Hamden, Meriden and Middletown.
