Computer Lab
In the CTWorks Computer Lab you can search through local or national job listings, create, copy and fax or mail your resume – all at no cost. All computers are linked to the Internet to assist in your job search. Computer Lab staff are certified in professional resume preparation and are available to assist you in preparing your resume.

Resource Library
The CTWorks Career Centers offer a Career and Business Resource Library containing the most up-to-date information on career exploration, job search, business start-ups and expansions. Career Resources To find the right job, you need the latest information on job search, career change, resume development and the interview process, and you can find it in the CTWorks Career Library. We have up-to-date publications, newspapers and employment periodicals.

Business Resources
The Business Library includes reference manuals, books, periodicals and videos that offer valuable information on a wide range of business topics.

Career Counseling
Trained employment specialists assist customers with a wide range of career-related concerns. Employment specialists will help you identify suitable job options and ways to overcome employment barriers, including child care, transportation, literacy, or other basic skills.

Job Development and Placement
If you'd like some assistance in finding a job, or getting a better one, please schedule an appointment with one of our Job Developers, after you have attended an orientation workshop. They have years of experience helping people find jobs, as well as established relationships with regional employers.

Training
During your job search process, you might discover that you need more training or other preparation in order to become employed. There are many training opportunities available to you. Talk to an employment specialist about training assistance requirements and finding the best training option for you.

Child Care / Transportation Assistance
Child care assistance is often available to for job-seekers who need this support. The Regional Growth Connection offers transportation assistance for eligible customers to job locations all over South Central Connecticut. You should speak about your special needs with an employment specialist.
