A few words about Rides to Work partners in business and job training agencies: – RTW has many years experience tailoring commute options for low-income employees. More than 1,500 employers have taken advantage of our programs. You need employees, our customers need jobs, and RTW makes the connection. Even companies that are in hard-to-reach locations have worked with RTW to improve transportation options. These companies can often find the workers they need, and know that RTW will get them to work. Job and skills training is often part of the road to a new job. RTW provides transportation options to help job-seekers get to the training they need.
CTWorks Career Centers – The four CTWorks CareerCenters in South Central
Connecticut offer friendly service for all employment needs including career counseling, job placement, skills training, access to online job banks, and much more. The CTWorks Centers are centrally located within New Haven, Hamden, Middletown and Meriden. The professionals work with job seekers and employers.
CTWorks’ professionals help people get ready to enter or get back into the workforce. They assist in writing a resume and practicing for interviews. Finally, with help from RTW, they can arrange for transportation to the job site, for the interview and, initially, for your regular commute, if you are eligible.
